The inside story on Accelerated Free Fall

E-mail Print PDF

Our team have been been teaching skydiving for over 15 years. Its been our privilege to have worked and skydived with a great many students and instructors, and to have participated at many Accelerated Freefall Schools and centers in many countries, both civilian and military. We have therefore had a unique 'under the surface' view of the sport of sky diving and accelerated freefall and we hope to share this with you.

In this part of the site, we aim to give you an unbiased explanation, without the sales-hype, of the options open to you when you consider learning to sky dive through the AFF system  so that you will be better equipped to decide which option is right for you.To fullfil this commitment, we'll offer you the knowledge on how the system works, where the centers and schools are, when and how to do it. Other parts of this site will look at the basic question "why do people skydive", aspects of risk in skydiving and even getting into how to manage anxiety and fear. We'll offer free and impartial advice about how to improve your performance, overcome blocks and progress as quickly and safely as you can. Before you start your training to skydive, we will help you with tips and advice on how to arrive at your ground school and each days jumping thereafter, feeling more relaxed and enthusiastic and ready to focus on your skydiving progression (or maybe just a one-off skydive) and having more fun while you’re doing it! The outcome should be that you will enjoy your sky diving 'career' so much more and get more out of it with less pesonal stress. After your skydive you may want to go and do it again, and perhaps even go on to graduate as a licenced skydiver. We'll help you with more insights on how to do that in the way that best suits you and also we'll tease you with tasters of what your future options are for skydiving in its different forms if you decide to take a licence.

We constantly poll input, ideas and viewpoints from instructors and students and we believe that this is essential to keep this resource useful and in constant use. So, please offer your articles, photographs, comments, feedback and ideas on the topic of skydiving and we always welcome your input and feedback for improvements to the site. Our overall goal is to contribute to your own enjoyment of the sport of skydiving, and the betterment of Accelerated Free Fall system worldwide.
