I want to skydive in India

I want to do a Tandem Skydive in India.  I read the post by Pradeep Rao however dont know how to contact him.  Please help with his contact info and any other person who organises Tandem Skydive

As far as we can see there is only one skydiving operation in India and this is

the link http://www.parachuting.in/ which is the website is the site for the Indian Parachuting Federation and as far we can see it may not be affiliated to the FAI (Federation Aeronatique Internationale) which indicates that it may be the governing body (or perhaps the only parachuting body). We can see that it's based at Safdarjung Airport, New Delhi. We suggest that you might like to use the contact details on the website.

We also looked again at the site link on the blog by Pradeep Rao and that url seems to have not been renewed, so we can't even locate that site about Skydiving Indore. This is a really sad state of affairs in our view, that there seems to be no full time commercial skydiving operation in India. Surely this is a huge opportunity for some entrepreneurial Indian skydiver(s) out there? We hope that Pradeep Rao and any others with something to add on this subject will register here and give us an update.

Having said all of that, we reckon that skydiving is most probably governed by the military authorities in some way. This is no bad thing because much of the sport parachuting we all enjoy today actually evolved from military parachuting and the military still take a very active role in sport parachuting in many countries.Links remain very close between civilian and military networks to ensure safety and development in both areas through co-operation and joint research.

For any Indian skydivers, Indian Pollicy makers (or even anyone who wants to skydive in India) please register here and keep us in the picture about what is happening in Indian skydiving, we'd love to hear.
