20p for an accelerated free fall course?
Got some change in your pocket? Pluck out all the 20p pieces and keep them safe - very safe! If you've been thinking about doing that AFF course and wondering where to find the three hundred and twenty smackers it costs, your answer might just be in those little 20p coins.
The Royal Mint have made another blunder (but we can forgive them for giving us this great opportunity) by releasing a herd of 200,000 'Mules' onto the market which are technically incorrect.
If you feel lucky today, you need to be looking for the new type of coins which were printed earlier this year. The side with the Queens head should have a date "2009" stamped in between the "F" and the "D". If it doesn't have this, you could be on a winner.

Royal Mint say they'll give you £50 back for each 20p coin you return to them. Better still to go right to ebay and sell them there, and at this point I can see two twenty pence coins selling for £351. Well when I wrote this it was £351 but by the time the auction had ended it had achieved £410. Not bad return on investment for a rumage around the small change.
For this money you could have an AFF ground school and level one skydive at pretty much any dropzone you care to mention. If you don't want the AFF course, this will fund a tandem and video quite nicely, maybe even with a bit left over for a takeaway on the way back from the drop zone. But be careful not to get too excited, I've just found 20p eight coins with no date on the Queens head side, but then I turn over and find... you guessed it! these are the old type where the date is on the 'tails' side. Ah well, so much for that one.
Deals like this all add up to get you the things you want. So the next time you say you can't do that skydive (or anything else) because you can't afford it, just use your biggest asset - your Brain, and look for deals like this to see how you can fund your dreams.
